One thing I've always wanted to provide for the families I serve and for all Anglicans looking for a way to keep connected to their faith or begin searching out their faith together as a family for the first time, is an online resource they can turn to when the pulls they face on Sunday mornings might be keeping them from attending church.
I've heard many parents tell me that they feel bad when they miss, that they don't even feel like coming after they miss since they feel if they can't commit fully, it would be better if they didn't come at all, OR what is even more common is just the slow drifting away from the community as a whole they grow out of touch with what has been happening in their absence.
Families who have very little time with each other during the week, or who have only one family member who is truly wishing to attend can feel like Sunday mornings prove to be just another challenge to their already strained existence.
I want couples to enjoy their marriage, to nurture their faith, and to have some guidance if they are anything like I was which was a mother with minimal religious upbringing and very few ideas of how to share faith with our children.
I'll be creating an online resource this year which I hope will help families to grow in faith. If you are hoping for such a resource, please send me a comment or email to encourage these efforts, perhaps together, we can create something new.
